Trauma Informed Care Cafe

IYI is bringing to Crawford County a very interesting Youth Worker Café: 

“From Stress To Trauma” with Skye Berger, Executive Creative Coach, the café is scheduled from 11:00 to 1:00 at 4H Marengo Tuesday the 19th.

Please share the Youth Worker Café info. with all people, neighbors, grandparents, guardians…This is a great opportunity to learn and work towards a Trauma Informed Crawford.

Empowering Guardians Support Group

"Tell City First Baptist, has a monthly support group for all individuals who are Adoptive/foster/guardians/ kinship care parents, or those who are interested in these areas. We meet the last Thursday of each month from 5:30pm- 6pm is a family meal. 

Then at 6pm the kiddos go for activity time while our group meets. We wrap everything up at 7pm. Our next meeting is on January 31st. Hope to see you there!" Bonnie.

Free Meal and Family Program

Would you like to learn ways to connect with your children, develop a stronger bond, and set family goals together? The Purdue Extension is offering a free Strengthening Families Program that includes a FREE meal and family guidance. This program is a proven and effective program for families with 10-14 year old students. They offer free childcare for younger children as well. This program offers a free night to have fun, eat, and spend quality time with your family that will support growth and undestanding.

Families need to hurry, sign-ups end September 18th and the program begins September the 25th. See the attached flier for more details on how to sign up.

 At Crawford County Middle School part of our mission is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes respect for all stakeholders.

Bullying behavior works against our mission and therefore will not be tolerated. Please read the definition of bullying listed below and seek assistance when there is a concern.

IC 20-33-8-0.2. Bullying.
(a) As used in this chapter, bullying means overt, unwanted, repeated acts or gestures, including verbal or written communications or images transmitted in any manner (including digitally or electronically), physical acts committed, aggression, or any other behaviors, that are committed by a student or group of Indiana Compilation of School Discipline Laws and Regulations Page 36 students against another student with the intent to harass, ridicule, humiliate, intimidate, or harm the targeted student and create for the targeted student an objectively hostile school environment that:
(1) places the targeted student in reasonable fear of harm to the targeted student's person or property;
(2) has a substantially detrimental effect on the targeted student's physical or mental health;
(3) has the effect of substantially interfering with the targeted student's academic performance; or
(4) has the effect of substantially interfering with the targeted student's ability to participate in or benefit from the services, activities, and privileges provided by the school.
