 At Crawford County Middle School part of our mission is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes respect for all stakeholders.

Bullying behavior works against our mission and therefore will not be tolerated. Please read the definition of bullying listed below and seek assistance when there is a concern.

“Bullying” (per IC 20-33-8-.2) means overt, unwanted, repeated acts or gestures, including verbal or written communications or images transmitted in any manner (including digitally or electronically), physical acts committed, aggression, or any other behaviors, that are committed by a student or group of students against another student with the intent to harass, ridicule, humiliate, intimidate, or harm the other targeted student and create for the targeted student an objectively hostile school environment.

$5000 Scholarship Opportunity- due Friday November 4th!

The contest is open now, but closes this Friday, Nov. 4!!!!
November 4, begins the chance for your students to win one of two 31 Answers Wilhelm Construction Scholarships for $5,000 each, to be used at any of Indiana’s 31 private, non-profit colleges and universities after graduation and acceptance to the chosen institution. What students need to know about the scholarship:

  • The contest opens at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
  • Any current middle school, junior high, or high school student, ages 13-19, is eligible to enter to win. (If the winner is not a graduating senior, ICI will hold the scholarship until they graduate.)
  • Students get one entry each. Multiple entries will not be counted.
  • Out-of-state students  are eligible to enter to win.
  • The entry form will consist of a few short open-ended questions about students’ experience with the 31 Answers website and what they’ve learned from it.
  • Two winners will be chosen at random from the pool of candidates.

Red Ribbon Week Oct.24-28 at CCMS

Drug- Free Flyer Contest

  • Complete a flyer by Monday Oct. 24th on having a Drug-Free lifestyle. Turn into Mrs. Kellum or the office.
  • Suggestions for flyers: How students can be drug free, other possible activities to participate in inside of being around drugs, consequences of drug use (statistics, physical, mental/emotional, social, and legally), and/or how to say "No" to drugs. 
  • Prizes will be given out to the top flyers. All flyers will be displayed around the school. 
  • Be a creative as your imagination can take you on this flyer. 
  • YOLO (You Only Live Once) is this years theme.
Weekly Activities: coming soon!
Monday- flyer contest winners announced by the end of the day, wear RED to support your stand against drugs
Tuesday- Be super by not doing drugs. Super hero t-shirts, no costumes
Wednesday- "sock it" to drugs. Red/Crazy sock day
Thursday- "peace out" to drugs, peace sign/tie-dye shirts
Friday- "team up" against drugs, favorite team shirt day

Meet Your School Counselor

Does your child qualify for free tuition to a four year college? Check out 21st Century Scholars to see if they qualify.

7th and 8th graders need to enroll online if your family qualifies. Help pay for college!

Before you apply online, make sure you have the following:

  • Student’s Social Security Number, date of birth and address
  • Parent or guardian’s Social Security Number, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number if applicable
  • Previous year gross income amounts for all members of the household (Example: if you are applying after December 31, 2015, use 2015 amounts.)
  • A valid email address. Free email addresses are available at Yahoo!, Gmail and Live

During the application process, you will:

  • Answer pre-enrollment questions
  • Enter student contact information (address, phone, email, school information and SSN)
  • Agree to the 21st Century Scholar Pledge
  • Enter income information for parent or guardian
  • Review and submit application
  • You will receive an email with an application summary and program enrollment information after the application is received. 
  • All applications to the 21st Century Scholars program must be submitted before June 30 of the eligible student’s 8th-grade year.
